Our Heart Behind Give Hope RV
Our desire is to provide help and hope to active foster and adoptive families.
Founders - Dave and Melissa Tubergen with their 7 children.
As a three-time adoptive family and past foster family, we understand firsthand the challenges and hardships that can come with parenting children who have experienced trauma or difficult beginnings. While time away is often greatly needed, it frequently isn’t possible due to depleted funds, travel restrictions when caring for children in foster care, difficult transitions, and many other barriers.
The Give Hope RV exists to remove those barriers.
We provide foster and adoptive families with a safe, restful place to get away, enjoy camping, and reconnect — free of charge.
Our hope is that every family who stays with us experiences rest, renewal, and encouragement as they continue the important work of fostering and adopting.

In an effort to reach and serve more foster and adoptive families, Give Hope Ministries is expanding our reach!
Local campgrounds have generously donated certificates that allow families to camp for FREE. If you have access to an RV, pop-up camper, or tent—whether it’s your own or borrowed from a friend or family member—this opportunity is for you!
Please note: Give Hope Ministries is not able to provide a camping unit. Families must supply or have access to their own camping equipment.
Alive Growers out of Forest Grove is our 2026 Give Joy half lot sponsor. You can find their goods at the Holland Farmers Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Registration does not guarantee a camping spot for this season. All registrations must be submitted by March 1, 2026.
As in years past, all available camping spaces will be filled through a lottery system. Families whose names are drawn will be notified of their acceptance beginning mid-March 2026.
Campground locations are not selected at the time of registration. If your family is selected, you will receive a store link to choose your camping certificate.

How do we stay with give hope?
Stays at the Give Hope RV are highly sought after! For the 2026 season, with four locations up and running, we are excited to host nearly 140 families.
In addition, we have partnered with campgrounds across Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, New York, Wisconsin, Texas, and Alabama, allowing us to serve even more families.
Through our Give Thanks Affiliate Camping Program, we were able to give away over 190 FREE camping certificates.
All spaces are filled through a lottery system.
The Give Hope camping season runs from the Memorial Day weekend in May through the end of September. Applications will be accepted from January 1 through March 1, 2026.

Thankful for Meiste Homes and their love and appreciation for foster and adoptive families. Again, this year they joyfully participated in supporting our Give Life location.
What’s included in our stay?
We try to make packing a breeze! All four Give Hope RVs feature a fully stocked kitchen with utensils, plates, cups, silverware, small appliances, and more (no food provided). Each RV also includes a grill with grilling utensils for family meals.
To make your stay even more enjoyable, families will find lawn games, toys, coloring books, books, board games, cards, and more. While each location offers slightly different amenities, a full list of provided items will be emailed to you once your reservation is confirmed.
Our goal is to create a stress-free experience with minimal packing. Families should plan to bring only bed linens or sleeping bags, food, clothing, toiletries, and towels.
Families will be notified of their acceptance in March.
