Our Heart Behind Give Hope RV
Our desire is to provide help and hope to active foster and adoptive families.
Founders - Dave and Melissa Tubergen with their 7 children.
As a three-time adoptive family and past foster family, we understand firsthand the challenges and hardships that can come with parenting children who have experienced trauma or difficult beginnings. While time away is often greatly needed, it frequently isn’t possible due to depleted funds, travel restrictions when caring for children in foster care, difficult transitions, and many other barriers.
The Give Hope RV exists to remove those barriers.
We provide foster and adoptive families with a safe, restful place to get away, enjoy camping, and reconnect — free of charge.
Our hope is that every family who stays with us experiences rest, renewal, and encouragement as they continue the important work of fostering and adopting.
We hope you’re planning to join us for our fourth annual Give Hope Benefit Auction on April 17, 2027, at Cultivate Community Church.
Program 1 :: Give Hope RV
Give Hope Ministries owns and operates five RVs that are placed on seasonal lots at three campgrounds in Michigan - TriPonds Family Camp Resort in Allegan, Michigan, Kibby Creek Campground in Ludington, Michigan, and Outdoor Adventures in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
The goal for each foster and adoptive family that stays with us is that they walk away refreshed and more connected as a family.
Each RV comes equipped with a fully equipped kitchen (utensils and cookware provided, but please bring your own food), games, chairs, a grill, disposable products like paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, etc… A complete list of what is available at specific locations in made available to you prior to your stay.
With five locations up and running, we are excited to host around 160 families.
Program 2 :: Give Thanks Affiliate Camping
In an effort to reach and serve more foster and adoptive families, Give Hope Ministries has expanded their reach through campground partnership.
Campgrounds in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Alabama, Texas and New York have generously donated certificates that allow foster and adoptive families to camp for FREE. If you own or access to an RV, pop-up camper, or tent this opportunity is for you!
In 2026, through our Give Thanks Affiliate Camping Program, we were able to give away over 190 FREE camping certificates.
Please note: Give Hope Ministries is not able to provide a camping unit. Families must supply or have access to their own camping equipment.
